Data Engineer
Connect data sources, improve data quality, and prepare reliable information for reporting.
Responsibilities
- Build data preparation and integration workflows for applications, databases, and files.
- Define mappings and validation checks with the people using the data.
- Investigate data quality issues and document refresh and maintenance requirements.
- Support dashboards and reporting with consistent, understandable datasets.
Skills & experience
- SQL and a programming language such as Python.
- Experience with data modeling, transformation, and pipeline testing.
- An understanding of reconciliation, access controls, and maintainable documentation.
